You're Invited
You are warmly invited to an open house at Active Life Health
Clinic. With the temperature lowering and winter almost upon us, join us for a hot cup of healthy tea and explore some of  the ways we can help you stay happy and healthy through the cool, wet months ahead. We are pleased to offer a new option — the services of reflexologist Helene Decarie.

Bring a friend or family member for a mini acupunture consultation or enjoy an introductory reflexology treatment and discover how these natural therapies can support your physical and mental health, boost your immunity and help you relax and de-stress.

soupAlso, pick up a copy of our favourite recipes for healthy, hearty fall soups to warm and nurture you and your loved ones through the winter. And enter to win a special prize that will support your health and wellness.

Consultation and treatment will be by donation with proceeds going to the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre here in Vancouver. See below for more information.

The Marine Mammal Rescue Centre of the Vancouver Aquarium rescues and treats an average of fifty sick or stranded marine animals in need of care. Most of their patients are baby seal pups, and they need your help too!

See the pictures of my August visit to the centre here: Dr.Carr's Facebook page (you don't need to be a member of Facebook to view).

DID YOU KNOW?  It is best to contact an experienced marine mammal rescue organization before attempting to rescue a seal, sea lion, or any other marine mammal. Trained rescuers will assess the situation and determine whether intervention is necessary. It is quite normal for seals and sea lions (pinnipeds) to spend time on land, and does not in itself indicate a rescue is needed. 30-40% of their time may be spent ashore; resting, socializing, escaping predators, giving birth and nursing.

Helping you help yourself!

My goal:
To work in partnership with you to bring you to your optimal health.

My focus:
Ongoing health, not just temporary relief.

This is active health.
